How do you eat while traveling when you have restrictions? I went on a short trip this week (left Wed. morning, came home Thurs. evening) and needed to get a little creative. I wasn't checking any luggage because of the length of the trip, but I did bring apples, pears, bananas, and a bag of dried fruit/nuts in my carry-on. This worked for snacks and breakfast. Here's what I did for lunches:
There was a super Walmart where I was, so I purchased organic arugala/spinach, pre-washed ready to go veggies, tomatoes, and guacamole. I throw it all in the arugala/spinach container and lunch. I remembered to take a photo half way throw finishing (empty guacamole container)but I think you get the idea.

On my way home, I wanted to have lunch while sitting at the airport. So I found a place to make salads and got a large container of mixed greens with a few veggies. I then found a magazine/snack place and was able to get organic unsulfered dried fruit and raw almonds. Mix them all together and you have a beautiful salad. I also bought a banana to have after my salad. Below is what I purchased to make a little meal. Much better than airplane food!
